1. What is your budget? $1300

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering? 15" - 16"

3. What screen resolution do you want? 1920x1080

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop? Preferably portable, ultrabooks are an attraction

5. How much battery life do you need? Doesn't really matter, but the more the better

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)? Not really, just pretty basic games with low requirements (if any).

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.) Mainly for watching movies, want to enjoy the 1080p experience.

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need? Good amount for all the movies, maybe 500GB? I doubt an SSD is a wise choice.

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop? As long as possible

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ? Do movies benefit from Blu-Ray? Is it worth the money? If yes, then sure why not?

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.

13. What country do you live in? Saudi Arabia

14. Please tell us any additional information if needed. I suggested to the guy to save his money by getting a normal $500 laptop and buying a separate 24" 1080p screen for around $150 or so... but he wants to pay the premium for a laptop with a 1080p screen. No specific websites to purchase from. Just suggest a laptop that suits his needs, price is not an issue apparently.
