For college, coding, occasional gaming, movies, videos and internet. Will TRY and run OS X on it. Which one would you consider better? Is there a reason to consider the Envy with lesser specs and higher price over the Pavilion with higher specs and cheaper price other than design? Please let me know. Thanks a lot! :D

They are both good laptops with a 3rd gen Intel processor it's a win win situation.

I would go with the quad edition if you are using this for gaming.

Pavilion has better specs with the additional extra 2gb of RAM. If design is not an issue pavilion all the way.

The reason why the Envy is a little more expensive is the design.
