Hi guys!

I’ve been meaning to buy a new laptop and from the reviews and personal experiences I’ve found that a Vaio E series is a pretty good deal for a laptop.

Sony offers you the option to customize one yourself and my questions are: are more than 8gb in a laptop really necessary? or am i ok choosing just 6gb. And what about the graphics card? is a 1gb AMD Radeon™ HD 7550M ok? or should i get the 2gb upgrade? and also, is a blueray reader really necessary?

This laptop is for personal use, I’m a graphic design student and i also want to watch movies and play some games.

There aint much difference between the two besides size, looks and price. But i want to make the best choice i can.

For your wants, I would suggest the 14". Even though smaller and more expensive, it has a slightly better display resolution, faster ram (although you won't be able to tell that) and, a better graphics card. I think it's worth it.
As far as ram, I feel 6GB is plenty, in the future you may find you want more but that is an easy upgrade.
