How to fix a black screen on a laptop from a virus i think

Hello,
I left my laptop on for a few min then all of the sudden my screen went black tried everything . Putting the recovery disc in and all I git was a screen with white,red,and black and it only with the disc. It won't even show the log in..I try all the ctrl f8,f10,12 and nothing can someone please help me
My lap to is a Toshiba sattellite C650D
Please help I only had it less than a year

Also it won't respond to the disc or usb with a new. Operating system on it

the lcd backlight or the lcd may have failed. try connecting the laptop to a desktop monitor and use the f key to tell the laptop to use the video port on the back of your unit.

clever,didn't think of that ...What if it sometimes proceeds to the point of system recovery but then suddenly turns black again..with the same issues of not responding to the disc or usb with a new. Operating system on it
