FPS with Real Time Strategy Games

Hello,

I have a question regarding frames per second. I know this is a big deal in terms of gaming, but I was wondering, what is the minimum FPS that I can get by with when I play Real Time Strategy games?

Depending on the game and how it's played 20FPS might be OK.
It's more a personal choice and how a person feels about how smooth and fluid the game seems to run.

i play coh (city of heroes). had an older nvidia 210...was great when nothing was going on in the game...get 20 or there heroes in a group and is was laggg fest...put in a newer 550 card on the old rig and it was a lot better. the trick with online games and some gpu is if you dont have the cash for the top of the line card is to turn down all the eye candy and water effects. with most games you should with a newer gpu should be able to do 30 frames..you might not be able to do 1080 but your should be able to to 1200 by 1600 on most cards now.
