Overheating protection for Win 7

Hello,i have a laptop (Acer) and it is overheating...i need a protection...what may i do?please...i am looking for answers...

Normally overheating protection is built into the BIOS, you will need to access the bios to set temperature levels for warnings or shutdown, you may want to get the laptop serviced, could be that the thermal compound has failed or that the heatsinks are clogged.
