I'm trying to ge the maximum gaming experience out of a portable netbook just so I have something else to do
to kill time/ have a rest from work while I'm out. I'm not looking to play anything modern as I have a proper gaming PC for that
Was looking at a Samsung NF110 with the 2gb memory upgrade but im not sure it'll work

Better options than the Samsung NF110 with it's Atom N455 single core CPU and GMA 3150 graphics w/ 1024x600 LCD:

Acer Aspire One 522 10.1 inch Netbook £237
AMD C-50 1Ghz Dual-Core APU, 1 GB RAM , 250 GB HDD, Windows 7 Starter, 10.1" 1280x720 LCD w/ Radeon HD 6250 graphics

Acer Aspire One 522 Netbook review

Acer Aspire One 722 11.6 inch Netbook £250
AMD C-60 1GHz (1.33 GHz turbo), Dual-Core APU 2GB RAM, 320GB HDD, Windows 7 Home Premium, 11.3" 1366x768 LCD w/ Radeon HD 6290 graphics

and apparently there is quite a good community of people that OC the geforce 335M to great effect. just have a google of it and see. it has more shaders than any other in that product line so OC helps it out a lot.

Still great without an OC tho

I have the AspireOne 722 and its a great little computer - I can play games like SimCity 4, Command & conquer 4, etc.

Highly recommend the AMD APUs for this application. C-60 is good, the 350 and 450 are even better.
