Intel Centrino

I dont know much about processors and i need a processor that is equivalent to an intel centrino. Is the AMD processor the same?

so you're asking about intel centrino, thats a family name for processors. centrinos are used in laptops for better battery life, lower heat etc
are you looking for a mobile processor? i hope you are not trying to upgrade because new/old hardware has different physical sockets
amd has their mobile processors too, the processors are not the same because of the architectures but they compete based on price and what each processor offers for a specific market (mobile, dekstops, gamers)
