I am assuming after June/July, as ivybridge was delayed at least on the mobile side.

Another question, who is better in terms of: quality, performance, and aesthics? I am trying to decide if I want to buy an msi or asus laptop for gaming, 3d work, and video editing.

For quality I would pick up an Asus laptop, but sometimes its performance parts are below the $$ expectation costs. Another thing that you might know is that for 3d rendering some desktops gpu's are supported but no mobile parts (from what I know) depending on the software that might be used.
Also there are other brands that take care of pure brute performance eurocom.

In my personal point of view aesthetics are not that much important when you look for pure performance and quality, there will always be something to sacrifice.
Haa !! but if you want to check aesthetics take a look at this Razer laptop is Pure Quality and Aesthetics BUT low performance. Simple Gorgeous ! http://store.razerzone.com/store/razerusa/en_US/pd/productID.243119900/categoryId.57876700
