Apple's latest iPad can hit temperatures as high as 116 degrees Fahrenheit while playing action games

A thermal image of the newly released iPad shows it running substantially hotter than the older iPad 2. Higher temperatures show as reds and oranges that shade to bright white. (CONSUMER REPORTS)

Solution
That's some pretty major changes in thermal management.

With all the recent talk of porting games for iOS this could be more than a minor annoyance.

I'm thinking we're going to hear a LOT more about this issue.
So far, Apple is playing it cool (unlike their new iPad).

Apple loves it, when public thinks about their releases as "HOT" : ))

Looks to me like this one is hot alright! :D

Not at the moment. We do have an original iPad boxed up and in storage.

But a family member is very interested in getting one.
And that means I'll probably end up having to get one for 'tech support'.
It may come down to what phone they get next. And that's been all over the place WP7, Android, iPhone, etc.
