How do get my netbook connected to printer

hello I have a advent 4213 betbook connected by bt wifi and a brother dcp375cw printer but cannot get the printer to connect any ideas please.

Do you have a printer driver installed in the netbook?

Have you made the printer share-able on the local network?

I have tried many different things but Im not sure if I have over done things.
I have tried doing the driver thing, but not sure if it worked and sharing on network, but I dont know about computers and it still says I have not printer etc. I have been trying for days now.

Check the printer manual.
Is the printer hooked to a PC or is it a standalone WiFi network connection?
You'll need to make the printer 'visible' on the local network. Usually that's done on the PC it's using as host.
Or it's done on the printer's own controls.

Hi thanks for replying

the printer has been set up to the wifi with the bt hub passcode etc. and says its connected.
i tried to input brother driver but now it seems to have disappeared and i cannot find the right one.

not sure what to do now
