I suppose I could have mentioned that multimedia programming is extra hard if you don't know how to do it.

Most of us? Just use multimedia software without having to do any programming.

The subject really isn't Laptop/Notebook related in any case.

ya, the most multimedia programming I do is writing very simple scripts for AVI Synth and AVSP, and even then it is simple copy and paste bone-head stuff. I wonder if there was a question somewhere in there other than a general grab at informaiton
