Should i buy macbook pro?????

Hello,
im doing animation course......and i was thinking should i buy macbook pro for my course???????
Is it good for vfx??????
or should i wait for new macbook pro 2012??????????????
plssss help me guys plsssss

firstly you should research what programs you will be using in your class and from there search if those programs are avaible for osx or not. if not you will be looking at a windows pc ^^

i had a macbook pro in 2010, macbooks have impressive battery life and their display quality is really nice too

Not at all look for a decent pc with dual graphics chips, you will get alot more bang for buck, but you should also check what programs your class is using, they might be more mac oriented, they might be pc oriented which mean ud hafta install windows on ur mac if it was anyways
