Just added a copper shim to the heat sink for the GPU, but only the CPU has a temp sensor. According to Speccy the CPU is running between 49 & 59 degrees, I'm wondering if anyone has a non modified TX2000 to compare temps. I'm hoping that the shim will improve cooling in general...

Plot thickens! I was actually experimenting with Win 8 Developer on the modified machine, hit a few snags with drivers which I haven't the time or inclination to grapple with at the mo, so reverted to Vista, but the 64 bit version, and somehow Speccy comes up with a temp sensor for both CPU and GPU.... Anyway, also noticed that the machine is running substantially cooler with Vista for some reason, though I haven't 'stretched' it much yet. Actually hit CPU temps of 89 deg using WIn 8, not quite enough to melt solder, but too warm for comfort.
