Hello Tom's Hardware users, :hello:
I am ready to upgrade to a new laptop. I am upgrading from a Lenovo S10-3t netbook (1.6ghz atom, 1gb ram!) It was pretty slow now that I think about it!

I've got my sights set on the Dell Latitude E6400. I'm looking at this one because of favorable reviews, and good price! The specific model I want has 2.8GHz Core2Duo processor, 2-4GB RAM, and Nvidia(how do you pronounce that?) 160M graphics. Price is in the lower $200's now.

So I am asking you guys, do you think the E6400 is an outdated laptop? Any input from anyone who owns/owned one?

On a side note, I plan on putting a 120-160GB SSD in here. Will I see major speed increases?
With this model, I can replace the optical drive for a harddrive. I was considering putting a 1TB 2.5mm drive in there. Will I see reduced battery and extra heat because of the SSD and HDD?

I will be eagerly be awaiting your responses! :D
