I need two ethernet ports.Is there any extension hardware available?

I have an acer aspire 5252.Unfortunatly it only has one ethernet port.Is there some kind of cable which would divide it into two,allowing me to use my d link+internet?

aand,i would have another little question.Is it bad for the laptops health if putting it like that l,instead of that _ when it is online.

No, it's not bad for the laptops health..... it's like trying to put 4 fingers into 2 nostrils.... but a computer is used to it....

But, I am not able to understand what's the Dlink and what's the internet and how are they connected?

Something like this LINKSYS USB300M Ethernet Adapter Would give you an extra Ethernet port.

That said, I am slightly confused as to what you are trying to do as well.

Since I am a little unsure of the setup that you are trying to do, this ma not really be a solution.

Get a usb ethernet dongle and have the internet in your ethernet port and the dlink going to your usb-ethernet dongle and just make sure 2 different networks are setup on your computer and it should work then.
