Hello,
I m looking to find the best deal for my money.
My first preference is performance. I need somthing that is as fast as it gets for right around a 1000 bucks.

I occasionally watch high def blue ray dvd's on my laptop.

not too big of a gamer though. just dont have time. but sure i would like a decent video card that will support current and near future games.

hard drive space is not important at all. 250GB is more than enough. even less will do.

so my priorities are as listed(#1 being the most important)

1)speed and performance (only interested in i7 and 2.8 processing speed and up)
2)battery life
3)screen size and screen quality(14 to 16)
4)video card
5)bluetooth
6)backlit keyboard

Hello altun;
Can you explain this further? This would seem to limit you to only two laptop CPUs and neither one is widely available. Core i7-640M or Intel Core i7-2640M.

if you want in your price range then try a i7 @ 2.2GHz witth Gaming graphics card or a Ultra slim pc like a Ultrabook they got one that can last 5 or so hours but then you need a cheap blu-ray external Drive

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834230200

the graphics card is good for light gamng and maybe able to run battlefeild 3 or crysis at Medium-High id just game on medium with no AA and full screen res but this computer will be your best bet it has 5.5 Hours of time with light use just disable your wireless N unless u have a hotspot when you travel this might run alil on the hot side bu dont worry its a perfectly normal thing for gaming computers at times also you can render videos and i beleive burn them not sure about that just run it with low screen brightness without it plugged in and you will be fine 2.2GHz is good enough for preforming gaming clock speed dosnt matter as much as gpu does if you use mmos then this will also get the job done now for the benchmarks, here they are cpu: http://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-Core-i7-2670QM-Notebook-Processor.60135.0.html GPU: just youtube "gt 540M Gaming" or type in what game u want tthen gt 540m
