Which sony laptop is best for me?

Hi Im looking to buy a new laptop and think I want to go for either sony or dell. I will mainly be using it for playing the sims3 but also will watch dvds and unload pictures (lots of pictures) I have an iphone with way too much on it so need space for my itunes library as well. All the technical information just confuses me!

Hi thanks i think about £900/1000 tops for price but obviously the cheaper the better. I dont need a blueray player or anything like that just a simple DVD. I would like to have the laptop for at least a few years, if I spend a lot I would want it to last longer.

system requirement for the sims:

2.4 GHz P4 processor or equivalent
1.5 GB RAM
128 MB Video Card with support for Pixel Shader 2.0
At least 6.1 GB of hard drive space with at least 1 GB of additional space for custom content and saved games

For computers using built-in graphics chipsets under Windows, the game requires at least:
Intel Integrated Chipset, GMA 3-Series or above
2.6 GHz Pentium D CPU, or 1.8 GHz Core 2 Duo, or equivalent
0.5 GB additional RAM
