Great Gaming Laptop under $1000

1. What is your budget? 700-1100$

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering? 17.3" hd

3. What screen resolution do you want? hd , full hd

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop? kinda

5. How much battery life do you need? 3-4 hours...more the better

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)? yes skyrim (high), swtor (high), WoW (high), BF3 (high), total war shogun 2 (high)

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.) Just game

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need? 500gb at least

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links. newegg.com

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop? 3-4 years want something that can keep up that long

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ? at least cd/dvd burner

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.

Asus is my preferred brand

looking at the Asus G73JH-RBBX05

want at least 4gb DDR3 memory
want at least a quad core would prefer I7
gpu being at least the 5870m but would like of the newer better cards like a 6990m


13. What country do you live in? US


that is some of the stuff that I am interested in, I am looking to buy a new laptop in the coming weeks and would appreciate any input I receive.

Your goals are mutually exclusive. your looking at a $1500 expenditure (Clevo 150HM or 170HM) to meet those goals. At your budget, start looking at something like the P151HM:

I getcha well I want something around the price of $1000 or under that will do all those things pretty good or as good as can be done for the price. I would really like a 17" screen at least if possible
