Loss of internet connection on my laptop

my computer works fine but the laptop internet automatically turns off after 3 minutes or so and i have to keep reseting it. what is wrong? please help

A couple of items to check:

- Make sure your router is set to a specific channel rather than Auto, as other wireless devices may likely be interferring (i,e, cordless phones, etc.). You may have to experiment with different channels to find one that isn't interferred with.

- Make sure your wireless on the laptop has the power management disabled (Control Panel>Device Manager>Network>(Wireless Device)>Properties>Power Management), uncheck boxes.

- Make sure you have a good signal for the wireless
