Laptop for under 450

I need help finding a laptop for under $450. I would like to be able to download video from my camcorder, and maybe some editing for school projects.

Here is another than can run games if you want but it won't be as good for video editing as the Intel based laptops WR2 posted.

Thanks! There's so many choices out there, that it's a hard finding what one needs. I know I wanted 4GB of ram but didn't know which processor I would need, and what's over kill. I normally use my current laptop for surfing the net. So when I bought my new camcorder, the sales person told me that depends on how old my laptop is I might need a new one. He said if it is 2yo or newer it would be fine, but my laptop is 5.

What kind of connection does your camcorder use for the laptop connection?

It uses a usb connection.

@WR2, I didn't know there was a difference. I just thought the guy at Samy's Camera was talking about different formats for today's cameras aren't the same as it was 5 years ago. So he recommend maybe upgrading to a new pc. The usb wire plugs up to my pc, but I haven't tried it out yet.
