My Toshiba C655D-S5124 freezes and goes to a blank blue page (thin vertical lines) and nothing affects it - ie Ctrl/Alt/Delete, etc. Only effect is to power it down and reboot it. This happens constantly. In the middle of playing games, doing e-mails, working on line, etc. VERY VERY frustrating. Went on line to troubleshoot and suggestions included 1. Checking lid switch (where is it?), Checking power saving settings, and Screensaver. Any other advice would be greatly appreciated. Writing this in SAFE Mode as desktop comes up and just gins along. Never completes boot.

Thanks.

Hello ladygolfer41;
You could not be in Safe Mode if the boot didn't actually complete and load up Safe Mode.
So you can pretty much rule out the lid switch. (which are probably down in the lid hinges anyway).
Is the laptop stable in Safe Mode? No freeze's to blank page?

I think a test of the RAM would be useful, just to rule out a problem there.
