Toshiba laptop black screen with flashing cursor

Hi, I put my toshiba recovery disk in because my laptop would not connect to wireless. After I put the recovery disk in my computer now says bootmgr missing I have tried everything and nothing seems to work. I help the 0 put down forever then I tried f4 forever. I tried to boot it up from the dvd/cd boot. Can you help me?
