Swap Apple (DVD burner) for Orange?

Hello,

I have an older generation 13 inch Core 2 Duo Macbook with a faulty DVD burner and I also have a faulty Toshiba Portege laptop with a perfectly good DVD burner. Can I undo some screws and replace the faulty DVD burner in the Macbook with the good one from the Toshiba?

I would suggest doing a YouTube search for "replacing Macbook (model #?) DVD drive. Then do the same with the Toshiba. You would be amazed at the number of how to videos there are on YouTube.
