Solved! Need quiet PC, Can't use a MAC

Hello,
I am very sensitive to sounds, so I am looking for a laptop pc that is quiet.
I just bought the Sony vaio and the fan is always on, also, other sounds from within.
What would you recommend. Thanks lynn

Get a laptop with a solid state drive, a netbook would be good, but slower than a regular laptop. Due to the low power CPU, fans will not run as much, and a solid state drive is silent.

Hi Guys, I really found a nice laptop. The asus Zenbook ultrabook laptop. It is SSD and very quiet.
No built in DVD, but very light and thin.I had the Sony V and did not like it. The fan and other
sounds drove me crazy. Luckily I was able to exchange it.Price for the Asus was $1,099 set up.
