Hello, I am new here as you can see. I've been looking all over the place for a laptop with these certain specs. The only one that came close to this was the Acer Aspire Timeline X models, but they had one issue...no 1080p resolution.

I need help finding a laptop with these specs. Exactly these specs if possible. Thanks.

Screen Size: 15-16"
Resolution: 1080p
CPU: Intel Core i5 2nd Gen
RAM: 8gb
Hard Drive: >= 500gb
GPU: Nvidia 540m
Battery life: 5-8 hours.

Here are three more. One even has an upgrade to the 550m for a cheaper price than the others. But slightly less memory.

ASUS laptops are know for their quality and even come with a 1 year accidental damage replacement plan. As for MSI I believe they are good from other products I have had of theirs but don't know about their laptops. I wouldn't be against buying one of theirs though. Lastly it is easy to upgrade the memory on laptops to get a cheaper one that may only have 4GB.

You are simply not going to be gaming on any box for 5-8 hours. Optimus will let you go that long perhaps under lite duty but once you start gaming, I'd be surprised to see 3 hours.

Look here, though I wouldn't buy from the outfit (bad past experience), they do have a very good website layout where ya can view many options on a single page. Clevo distributors let you spec out your components for a custom build based upon various base configurations.

The 150HNQ starts at about $750
