Solved! Toshiba laptop screen has a one inch verticle white line on left

Hello,
My Toshiba laptop is about 4 years old. Yesterday I noticed on my screen appeared an appx. one inch wide vertical line located just left of the center of the screen. I restarted the computer and this went away but a few hours later came back. So I shut it down. Turned it back on today and it did the same, restarted and it is gone. What is this? and is it repairable?

Does it occur on an external monitor? Does it only appear within Windows OS?... like if you leave it in BIOS for an hour does it appear... that will diagnose if its hardware failure or software related...

Sounds like your LCD screen is dying/dead.... or a loose cable.
