I disagree with the above post. First off the display is 15.6" which is in the heavy/big end of the spectrum, and secondly the mass is 2.7 Kg (6lbs) which does not in any way make the notebook portable. ++ I don't like Lenovo (just one of my pet hates for some reason)

I'm going to suggest the ASUS U46SV for your needs. It comes with a dual core i5 processor for fast processing, and an NVidia GT540M. which is pretty decent for such a small computer. ASUS also has excellent warranty and service coverage with a 2 year global warranty. This computer is also lighter at 2.1 Kg (4.6lbs)

My vote changes to what ukee1593,ASUS U46SV is a decent choice;however,it'll run notably hotter than bigger but similarly configured laptops.

hmm...it's looking as though what I am in the market for has yet to be successfully implemented as of late... an AMD A-series would just about fit the bill, but they are too large. It looks like there were some models that I would have liked but I guess that they are either out of production or recalled...or stashed away in some corporate conspiracy.. ;[]

In the meantime I found a decent deal on a E-350 to replace the ASUS 1215B that had a defective touch pad:

THINKPAD X120E... it was on sale for black friday for about 330.00 plus tax ... I love those little E 350's.... low cost saves my budget for next year's offerings I guess..
