Hello all,

I'm in the market for a new 10-12" notebook without breaking the bank.

I was looking at E450-powered notebooks as I thought they gave the best balance for sensible value.

But should I spend a little more to get a i3-2357m?

I will use the notebook for:

80% non demanding tasks (office, web, email)

15% old gaming (within the capabilities of such a notebook - hopefully something like COD4 on a playable fps with lower settings)

5% light editing of 720p video

About 50% in linux, 50% in windows OS.

I know that on CPU-intensive tasks the i3 beats the E450. And from what I've read the full-fat sandy bridge HD3000 will beat the fusion's 6320, but how about the HD 3000 in ULV guises?

Thanks in advance for any pointers!

I think HD3000 in ULV models would still beat 6320

Remember that GPU turbo clock is very close to regular HD3000. i3-2357m GPU has base clock of 350MHz but it can go up to 950MHz (which is only 150MHz lower than regular i3 and i5 models)
