Solved! Laptop experience wifi connection problems

hi. i have a Dell Studio XPS laptop and my wifi never seems to work well anymore. in a particular spot in my house my wifi use to work beautifully. now in the same area after about 1 year my wifi struggles to connect to the network. if i bring it very close it works but with low signal. almost like it has got weak. my family also have laptops and there connection works perfectly even at the furthest spot away from the router.

make sure your windows power settings are set to performance instead of power save, often, windows limits the power it dedicates to wifi card that way

also, you might have gotten appliances in the house that interfere with that particular wifi card
