Toshiba wireless switch wont work

My Toshiba A30 wireless switch wont work.
The wireless card is installed and has its drivers but the message
"wireless unavailable " keeps coming up and the light beside the switch doesnt light up.
I know the wifi card works - tried it on another laptop.
Th Fn/F8 doesnt operate. Toshiba are worse than useless (as always).
I dont want to disassemble the laptop, but is there any alternative?

do the other hotkeys (Fn+) work? if none of them work you're missing the hotkey drivers/app

Probably a driver issue, download the drivers from Toshiba oficial site foryour model, restart, try again.
