Hello,
hi guys i need some real help......

i called dell technical support and they confirmed my laptop is eligible for repair for free due to the graphics engineering fault BUT

they said this laptop was originally purchased by a company and i have to tell them the company name if they want me to repair it.

I BOUGHT IT FROM GUMTREE AND I HAVE NO WAY OF FINDING OUT

can someone tell me the company name if i give you the dell service tag?

Hello repairy;

Dell service tag doesn't decode to that type of information.
Only Dell's internal database match's up the service tag with ownership details.

Gumtree didn't sell you the laptop. Some individual did. How did you pay for it?
You're only hope is to trace back through the individual who sold you the laptop to it first owner.

Gumtree is merely an online classified site that allows to buy, sell, trade with other people. It is not an online store. You need to track down the person bought the laptop from. Hopefully that person is the original owner, otherwise you need to track down original owner.
