Solved! Which of these laptops is better for gaming and school work?

Hello,
I want to buy a laptop with a budget with a cap of about £450... I want to be able to game on it and multitask. Games like Ijji games just the occasional fps etc. I've had an old AMD Athleon X2 that overheated on me last year and Ive had to put it on ice packs ever since then. So yea, I live in the tropics so keep that in mind if you can please.

First link is to an Acer Aspire Core i5 6gb ram and 500 gb HDD, 2.53ghz with an Intel HD graphics card...

Second is an HP G6-1100 with an AMD Phenom Dual Core 750 gb 4gb ram, 3ghz with an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 graphics card.

Hello Photonic;

Both laptops will multi-task without problems.
But the AMD HD 4250 and Intel HD Graphics are terrible choices for gaming.

Slightly better options for gaming:
Asus K53E-SX363 £400 or Toshiba L755-17Q
Both have the Sandy Bridge i3-2310M CPU and Intel HD 3000 Graphics.
HD 3000 Graphics is roughly equivalent to a GeForce 310M or Radeon Mobility HD 5450 graphics card.

Just to be clear - this is still not a gaming graphics card - it's just a bit better IGP than then the Intel HD Graphics or Radeon HD 4250 IGPs (not graphics cards) you linked to in your post.

Core i3-380M & Radeon Mobility HD 5470 graphics card.

Aaah nice, but my budget got just got reduced to £400 so I'll need to choose between the AMD and your Asus suggestion.

I'm not gonna be hardcore gaming plus Im still not sure of what to get. The AMD seems to have more processing power and HDD space and RAM as compared to the Asus. I however may be oblivious to something important so plead help ...

Also I can't add anything 'extra' to the laptop so ...

No idea what CPU it has but in the specifications it is stated that the processor speed is 3ghz whereas the Asus is stated to be 2.1ghz

Means nothing without knowing the actual CPU model.
You probably want to check a bit further to be sure you know what you're getting.

I'll try to increase my budget to £450 so a good laptop for entertainment and schoolwork with multitasking hitting that range will be sweet. Its for four years of college so I don't wanna have to replace it or components of it often lol..

It's the same, the CPU lets you know which IGP it is. See my first post.
RAM and HDD are the only items you'll really be able to upgrade in the future.

i5-2410 is a SandyBridge which you said is slightly better for gaming, plus it has an IntelHD 3000 graphics card as you suggested. iHope this is a good one?

It's nice CPU upgrade which is always helpful.
I think I still like the HP ProBook 4320s 13.3" notebook £329 (Core i3-380M & Radeon Mobility HD 5470 graphics card) or Toshiba Sat Pro L650-1QH 15.6" notebook £400 i3-380M & HD 5470 linked above.
Mostly for the price savings, but also for the slightly better dedicated graphics card.

If you can find a i3-2310M CPU & Radeon HD 6470M graphics for about the same price as that Aspire AS5750 I'd like that better too.

Bleh, not really a fan of lenovo, my mum has one and it isnt the best xD. I think ill stick with the Acer, i like the extra ram it has plus the i5's turbo mode would come in handy often. Thanks for your help.
