I bought an ASUS G53SX yesterday and thought it would be a good idea to add a SSD hard drive.
I followed the tutorial on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ev8y8xlCdHE

then i fucked up, I dropped a screw in the laptop..

so now I had to dig deeper into the computer using this tutorial:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TdQi2GMQRu8
and 6:45 min into the movie i reached it and started putting everything back together.

Obviously it didn't go well, cause now I somehow managed to have 2 small screws leftover and my laptop won't even start anymore.

I'm having a nervous breakdown here... please, what do I do? Would the store even agree to give me a new one if it's beyond saving?

You didn't ruin it. Sadly the more archaic way of resolve this issue is to flip it upside down and shake it until the screws come out. I lost a screw inside of it and that's what I've done when I swapped HDDs.

I'm going to remove the new hard drive again now and see if I can find any errors. I did recover the lost screw inside the computer the first time so that shouldn't be the problem unless it somehow caused damage even though I never started the computer before it was removed.

Ok, so after chatting with support, they agreed to take it back for reparation and they said to leave the new hard drive in there. Hopefully it can be saved.

The original HDD is still connected to its original location (right bracket) and the new SSD is connected to the left bracket which was empty before. The support said I should just leave it that way and send it back.
