TALKED TO AN HP CUSTOMER SERVICE WITH THE NAME OF "RON" SOMEWHERE IN ASIA ,HE SAID HE WAS NOT AWARE OF ANY RECALL FOR THIS MODEL I TOLD HIM I WAS ON THE COMPUTER AND IS ACTUALLY LOOKING AT THE RECALL FOR THIS MODEL ,HE KEPT SAYING THERE IS NONE ,MY LAPTOP JUST CEASED WORKING ,HE (RON) TOLD ME THEY CAN REPAIR IT FOR $320.00 OR I CAN TRADE IT IN FOR A NEW ONE ($420.00 NEW )THE TRADE IN VALUE OF MY DV2500 IS $100.00..I TOLD HIM WHY THE CUSTOMERS OF THIS MODEL NOT NOTIFIED ABOUT THE RECALL .HE KEPT ON INSISTING THERE WAS'NT ANY RECALL ......

I'm kind of confused as to what you are asking... None of us [publicly] work for HP, and would not be able to tell you anything different from the CS Rep.

If you disagree with what he said, call again and talk to someone else, or ask to speak to a supervisor.
