Solved! Friend wants a 300-400$ Laptop!

Well I am trying to help my friend pick out a laptop...

He wants it to be able to play Sims 3, and maybe some other *not so high demanding* games right now. He also does a little bit of video editing or well...video game designing in a way? But its nothing tooo extreme just something first beginners start!

His mom does not want to order it from online.

Here are a few options I came up with myself...tell me which are good, bad, or maybe the one he should go for!

Hi,

I have sold a few of these HP G42's

and they are a great buy for the money. Only thing I would do is buy a 4GB DDR3 RAM chip and replace the 1GB chip.

It has a good touchpad and I really like the color/pattern of the laptop cover, but it does have the slower intel graphics.

You would want to stay away from the Pentiums as they are lower than i3 and could be older tech with even older graphics.

@ BestBuy: $330 Asus K53E 15.6" notebook
Pentium B940 (2.0Ghz) Sandy Bridge based CPU, 3GB RAM, 320GB HDD, 15.6" 1366x768 LCD w/ Intel HD Graphics (Sandy Bridge) graphics.
Should run Sims3 on medium settings and StarCraft 2 / CoD4 MW on low.

What are those other *not so high demanding* games?
