can i trace and find my stolen laptop if its operating windows has been changed?

Hello sebata;

No, you won't be able to track your stolen laptop, with or without OS change.
Unless you have one of the laptop tracking software programs like PREY installed BEFORE it's stolen.

What you can do: File a police report and notify the laptop company the laptop has been stolen. If it's found by the police or gets sent in for repairs you could get lucky and get it back.

Of course if the operating system has been re-installed, then that would remove the tracking software.
