My friend need to buy one portable computer but he has not decided on which one..it laptop/netbook/tablet computer...

Required features
a) Best Battery backup (1st priority)
b) Performance
c) Lightweight
d) additional external battery kit (if available) (can be purchased with extra price)

13.3" Laptops
1) In Price Range 600$ to 800$
or
2) In Price Range 900$ to 1200$

10" or 11.6" Laptop Minis
3) In Price Range 300$ to 600$

10" Tablet Computer
4) In Price Range 500$ to 800$


Available brands Apple / Sony VAIO / Dell / Lenovo / HP / Toshiba

Please recommend atleast two gadgets from each group.

Somebody told me IBM ThinkPAD Now Lenevo ThinkPAD is the best for this reason...Is it?

note : gadget is required for extensive travelling.......net browsing....office document editing....autocad editing is preferred....
