After spending the last week or so looking at laptops I have realized that I am over my head in finding a laptop for myself. So I humbly ask for your help.

1. What is your budget?
I am looking at $800-$900 but $1000 is the ceiling

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
15-17, anything in that range really

3. What screen resolution do you want?
With my understanding on a small screen it's difficult to tell the difference between 1080 and 720 so I will say 720

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?
Basically will be a desktop replacement I will just be transporting between school and my house on weekends

5. How much battery life do you need?
Don't care

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
Yes, I enjoy FPS and RTS games. I think Starcraft 2 on medium would be a good spot to shoot for.

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)
None really besides power points and what not for school

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?
I don't really know, would 500gb be sufficient?

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.
I was looking at http://www.ibuypower.com/ with the $100 rebate if i hit just above $1000 but from what I have seen could I get a better laptop cheaper elsewhere?

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop?
4-5 years

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?
Doesn't matter

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.
I saw what i liked from ASUS, DELL, and ACER because of performance

13. What country do you live in?
U.S.

14. Please tell us any additional information if needed.
I found this on amazon and this also come with a free xbox 360 but I am unsure of how the performance would be on it. http://www.amazon.com/U31SD-A1-13-3-Inch-Light-Laptop-Silver/dp/B0054LBAA4/ref=br_lf_m_1000676291_1_3_ttl?ie=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&s=pc&pf_rd_p=1309072242&pf_rd_s=center-4&pf_rd_t=1401&pf_rd_i=1000676291&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=0RGXZ6M0VPJD6Y6XQH82

Thanks in advance for any help.

That laptop is "okay" It is sufficient, but Starcraft will run into problems running on such a system.
This laptop features a Core i7, 15.6" 1366x768p display, and a 540m, much better then 520m,

This machine can play Starcraft on Medium settings without a hinch, it can even play on high (not ultra), but it won't perform as well.
It costs 849.99 Dollars

Thanks for the answers I am leaning towards the CZ-12 however I have to spend about $100 more to get the rebate. What should I upgrade the RAM from 4gb to 8gb or something with the processor?
