Hello everyone,
my brothers laptop (UMAX VisionBook 5000CSX) has this condition: its graphics card probably went lousy as even bootscreen looks like this: http://www.dfo-senovsky.ic.cz/ati_x700/bootscreen.jpg and in 3D games, there is a net of small squares over the picture. It also restarts itself from time to time.
So I got an idea that I can write an e-mail to a few service centres in my country (which is Czech republic ;) ) and ask them for some used graphics card to replace my broken one.
But here's the problem: I don't know what kind of slot is the card using. And it's probably not MXM cause that one looks different (at least according to google). If you will be able to figure that out, it would be really appreciated. Here's the pictures:

Thanks in advance for your help :)

well first question is, have you verified this isn't the LCD fault? (connect an external monitor and see if it has the same issue, then it's the GPU)

regarding the x700 socket, PCI-E x16 is all I can find.

Good question - I have checked it by connecting external monitor and it's still the same so it's definitely GPU problem. The main problem is to figure out what type of graphic card slot is this: http://www.dfo-senovsky.ic.cz/ati_x700/1.jpg and the first two pictures on this site: http://www.mxm-upgrade.com/notMXM.html illustrate my problem very well (the first one is my slot, the second one MXM).
