My suggestion is to worry about guarantee any brand offering more than a year of guaranty is the best product you can get. for example I bought a Vaio Laptop and it worked 13 months and half and I had guaranty for a year... now my laptop died beforeyesterday and there's no guarantee from sony anymore.. now for the fix the customer service sony asks $713.05 USD = $8521 MXN to repair it. im just regreting have gotten that lap. instead of buying something with a longer guarantee. Now my recommendation would be Asus they offer 2 years guarantee in their laptops. I don't know yet about other brands. I might be buying another lap instead o fixing my dead one ...:(

I know for HP and Dell at least, you can select a 3 or on some even 4 year warranty

SB i5 @ $850 (What I bought, but @ $750)
SB, 17.3" screen, dual HDD bays, 2-USB3, 2-USB2 and HDMI, Blu-ray Drive
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834131116

The i7 version is $1050 but does not have Blu-ray drive.

Neg- Don't like the way the HDDs mate. Most laptops the drive(s) mate to a connector on the MB. On this they used two short right angle cables (Should be OK BUT the 2nd bay connector is not installed (Provided) USE the white dot (as stated in manual) not Light blue dot. Incompatability with OCZ Agility III SSD (Most likely the OCZ fault and would probably have on other SB laptops.
