What to buy? netbook or a laptop?

hey ppl...i want to buy a new laptop or a netbook...i m pursuing B.tech in computer science engineering..i am not sure what to buy...plz suggest

Saying you going to school doesn't say much, there's computer labs available all over a college campus, so virtually you don't even need your own laptop.

10.1" would be fine

3. What screen resolution do you want?
preferably...1024*768 or else 1024*600

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?
a portable one....4 sure

5. How much battery life do you need?
4 hours approximate

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
i am not that into gaming....but sometimes just for recreation light games

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)
not that editing......but simple photoshop

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?
preferably 250 GB

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.
none considered yet...

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop?
i wish that it should work perfectly for at least 4 years i.e. till my degree is over

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?
having no DVD rom would also work because i m having a PC at my home

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.
Brands i like- DELL, samsung, HP

13. What country do you live in?
