Are these two netbooks identical except one comes with Windows 7 and the other doesn't?

The MU10 would be the option for someone planning to use and alternate OS like Linux. Something like Ubuntu 10.10 Desktop. That way they don't pay for a windows license they don't plan to use.

Well, it's mainly going to be for just word processing/internet browsing/watching netflix/etc.

But I'd like to get the "best bang for my buck" when it comes to the speed. I looked at comparisons on benchmarks and found this one rated pretty well for the price. Which netbooks did you have in mind? I am definitely open to suggestions.

Ok, so they are indeed identical except for the OS? I ask because I do indeed want Windows 7, but I can get it for $30 as a Student. I noticed on the side-by-side comparison only one of them had bluetooth, I guess there's one difference at least. Hmmmm... Everything else seems identical.

The look identical to me. Im surprised one had Bluetooth but not the other. NewEgg doesn't always get the features right - so double check other sources if it's important to you.

If you go with your own student copy of Windows make sure it's not just the UPGRADE version. It would fail to install on a blank drive when checking for a previous version of windows. Also - plan on how you'll do the install without a DVD drive.
