My screen on my satelite E105-S1402 got really dark; if I have my table lamp right next to it I can see it function. How can I remedy this?

It sounds like either the backlight is broken or you accidentally turned it off. If it's broken, you'll need to get it fixed. If it's just been turned off, look in your manual for instructions to turn it back on or just try holding the Fn key down and pressing whatever F key looks like a picture of a screen.

It could also be a bad FL inverter that provides power to the backlight.
