Solved! Increase screen resolution of Thinkpad T20

I removed the hard drive from my Thinkpad T20, reformatted it and used it temporarily as an external drive for backup. Then I reinstalled it and Windows 2000. What I find now is that the screen resolution seems to be limited to two choices: 640 x 480 or 800 x 600. I'm certain it was higher than this previously and that's confirmed by the poor resolution of my desktop icons and text. Is there anyway to increase the screen resolution? Does the choice of Fat32 or NTFS when reinstalling Windows have any effect on the screen-resolution choices?
