Hello there!

Ok for about a year i have had this problem on my laptop where it just does not charge the battery. It works fine with the charger constantly plugged in, but roughly a year ago the battery started playing up. I would charge it to 100%, taking about an hour or two, but within 5 minutes it would go down to 6%!

I charged it again, yet it still went down to 6% after just a few minutes (from 100%) and i just left it to see if it was accidentally triggered, because the battery should last hours.. but it wasn't and a minute later it shut itself off.

I left the battery out for a few months, put it back in, it went up to 100% and then back down to 6% in a about 10 minutes.. just as before! I have had PSU problems on the laptop before, basically the charger socket broke, but since i have bought a different type of charger it's been fine, the battery just does not charge!

Is it the PSU? Or do i need a new battery? Model - HP G7000.

Thanks,

Jamie.
