Hello, I have an ASUS notebook which has recently started to get a overheating issue, or is what to believed is an overheating issue. My notebook's power will just cut if I'm pushing it too hard (i.e. gaming, HD movie watching while hashing files etc etc). I replaced my the hard drive thinking it was that.
I bought a notebook cooler (which doesn't do much because of very little, bottom-located holes/vents on notebook. So I just take the bottom panel off when needed to get the necessary cooling).
Could re-seating and using an after-market thermal paste (maybe even diamond powder in silicon paste) potentially solve this problem?
