I have an old laptop IBM Thinkpad T40
the laptop's fan did to much noise so opened the laptop and cleaned the fan and since then
when turn it on the computer start to work but the screen shows me nothing
I got blank screen
I've tried to connect it to other desktop screen thought VGA and it still don't work
the internal speaker is not beeping at all when is turn on the laptop
I also checked if the internal speaker work's by pulling the memoty (RAM) and when I turned it on the computer start to beep
so I know that the speaker work's fine
I've also pulled the CMOS out and reconnected it after a few minutes
nothing of the above didn't helped
is there anything I can do?

thanks in advanced

Probably nothing you can do here if the external monitor did not get you a display. T40 is old enough that buying anything to fix it aside from a spare key is not worth it. You probably damaged something in opening the case, which would mean a new motherboard. Cheapest way out for you is to find a used working T40, and move your hard-drive over to that. A T40 should not be much over $100.

Or put that money towards a new laptop.
