bump? another Q that would actually get me far, with the games i listed would the Intel® HD graphics work? and what processor should i lean towards, in my searching i have found the Intel® Core™ i3-380M processor, the Intel® Pentium® processor P6200 and the Intel® Core™ i3-370M processor and Intel® Core™ i3-350M processor or even a Intel® Pentium® dual-core processor T4500
i feel like im being brought back to the tech world i used to know computers really well.

Here is the 'big list' of mobile CPUs:
http://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobile-Processors-Benchmarklist
On that list: #53/380M, #73/350M, #108/P6200 and #116/T4500

The same type of list for laptop graphics:
http://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobile-Graphics-Cards-Benchmark-List
On that list: #223/Intel HD Graphics, #157/Geforce 310M, #144/Mobility Radeon HD 5470, #93/GeForce GT 420M, #76/Mobility Radeon HD 5650

While the Intel HD Graphics might run the games you listed I think you'd find the experiance less than pleasant. They games would run just 'OK. Moving up to a Geforce 310M or Radeon HD 5470 would be a major improvement. GT 420M or HD 5650 is about the 'gaming graphics' low end for most people.

HP is still in the middle of the pack when it comes to quality and reliability.
Chances are good if the notebook makes it through the first year it will also make it through the 2nd year too. The odd are greatly in your favor so I'd say don't pay for the extended warranty.
