I am looking to buy a pc for making movies of pictures to music and burning alot of them weddings and such I was wanting to know if laptop would handle all the disc burnig or should I go with a desk top pc.

Solution
If you don't need portability, go with the desktop. Laptop would be very hard if not impossible to upgrade, and for movie and image manipulation you'd want to have fast components which would be way cheaper on a desktop. Plus easier and much cheaper to upgrade the optical drives for BluRay burning if you want to do that as well.
